Civilian staff wear police uniforms

Government employees are wearing police uniforms and badges as they guard official buildings in Jiamusi, Heilongjiang province, Xinhua.net reported on Tuesday.

The uniformed civilian staff also carry out routine inspections of the city's government buildings.

"We wear uniforms at work. This is authorized by the city," a guard wearing a police uniform said, adding that he had had a badge for nearly seven years.
