By Chen Yingqun | China Daily | Updated: 2014-12-15 07:46

A new museum is set up every day in China, on average, a State Administration of Cultural Heritage official said.

In 2013, 4,165 museums registered with the administration, an increase of 299 from the previous year.

"The number of Chinese museums is increasing by about one each day. The development of museum-related products and technologies is also at its peak," said Guo Changhong, chief of the heritage division of the administration's department of museums and social heritage.
