Shaanxi firefighters' rescue of abandoned baby girl moves the whole nation

News of firefighters rescuing an abandoned newborn from a toilet in North west China's Shaanxi province is making headlines.

Li Zhi, afire fighter, received a call on Monday that a baby girl was found at a public toilet in Suide county, Yulin. About three minutes later, seven fire-fighters arrived at the site.

The newborn was found lying on her stomach in critical condition in the latrine of the men's bath room. The thinnest of the fire fighters jumped into the pit toilet and pulled the baby out.
