Classics recital

Away from the fast-paced modern Chinese society, a group of people is doing the old-fashioned thing - reciting the classics, Liu Zhihua reports in Chengdu.
Zeng Haili, a middle-aged teacher from Shilin county in Kunming, Yunnan province, watches nervously as a bunch of her students sing, dance and recite poetry onstage, as they participate in the final round of a classic literature recital competition held recently in Chengdu, Sichuan province.
Zeng is the director of the team that represents Kunming city's bureau of culture, broadcasting, television and physical education at the competition, and she has asked her performers - seven girls and a boy, all under 12 years - to recite their favorite poems of the moon.
