Investigation targets Ziyang's Party chief

The Party chief of Ziyang, Sichuan province, is being investigated for alleged serious discipline violations, according to anti-graft officials.

The probe into Li Jia was announced by the Discipline Inspection Committee under the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Zhao Yongtao, deputy mayor of Ziyang, Deng Quanzhong, mayor of Ziyang, and Luo Qinghong, chairman of the standing committee of the Ziyang municipal people's congress, are also under investigation for alleged serious discipline and law violations or lesser violations.
