Beijing takes 18th spot in top 20 conference ranking

The Beijing High-end Tourism and Meetings Industry Alliance released a statistical analysis of International Congress and Convention Association data, covering the years from 2009 to 2014, at its 2014 Winter Summit on Thursday at the China National Convention Center, Beijing.

According to the ICCA, Beijing ranked 18th in its annual top 20 rankings for cities last year, hosting 105 international conferences. The conferences covered a variety of fields, including energy resources, physics, chemicals and information technology.

By Nov 30, Beijing had hosted 91 international conventions.
