3,600 subway workers will be put on duty to deal with emergencies and prevent passengers from evading fares after the Beijing Subway price hike takes effect on Dec 28, according to the capital's Transport Commission, Beijing Morning Post reported on Tuesday. The subway ticketing-system upgrade will be completed before Dec 20, the commission said.
