Heilongjiang builds cultural brands

Heilongjiang province is exploring new ways to develop its cultural industries to create alternative economic growth through government and media efforts.
The Heilongjiang Daily Newspaper Press Group and Suifenhe city government set up an outlet selling Russian products in a gallery built by the press group in the provincial capital Harbin.
The outlet, which opened in June and sells Russian style food and drinks including vodka and sea cucumbers, has gained popularity among local consumers.
