Hat-trick Messi becomes Champions League's all-time leading scorer
Lionel Messi made European soccer history on Tuesday when the Barcelona striker notched a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over APOEL to become the Champions League's all-time top scorer.
The Barca and Argentina captain surpassed the record of 71 he jointly held with former Real Madrid and Schalke 04 striker Raul when he put his team ahead 2-0 shortly before halftime.
