Three detained over substandard fireworks
Three people were detained recently after police found 652 cases of poor quality fireworks at their homes in Fangshan district, Beijing Times reported. The fireworks, valued at more than 100,000 yuan ($16,300), were found at three households in Liulihe and Hancunhe townships during a special campaign launched after the police received reports from local residents at the end of October.
