Diplomats from Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia expect cooperation in education between their countries and Guangdong province to grow with increasingly closer ties.

Myanmar places importance on educational cooperation between the countries and will work to send more students to Guangdong, said U Myint Htun, consul general at the Consulate General of Myanmar in Nanning. More than 70 students from Myanmar are attending schools in Guangdong.

He made the remarks at a ceremony marking the launch of Myanmar, Lao and Cambodian programs at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies this month.
