Conte frustrated by Azzurri's complacency

By Agence France-Presse in Milan | China Daily | Updated: 2014-11-22 08:43

Angry Azzurri coach Antonio Conte responded to Italy's critics following a 1-0 friendly win over Albania by claiming the once-feared Italian soccer player is now "dying out."

Italy is unbeaten in six games since Conte replaced Cesare Prandelli as coach in the wake of a second consecutive first-round exit from the World Cup last summer.

The four-time World Cup winner sits second in Group H of Euro 2016 qualifying following three successive wins over Norway, Azerbaijan and Malta and a hard-fought 1-1 draw in Milan with leader Croatia last Sunday.
