As the first member of the new Discovery Family, the Discovery Sport made a striking global debut on the Great Wall of China two months ago.

Mark Hall, executive vice-president of Land Rover China, revealed the model's price range this morning and the model is poised to send Chinese consumers into a buying frenzy. The Discovery Sport SE will go on sale at 558,000 yuan ($90,836), while the HSE Luxury model is priced at 618,000 yuan.

"Land Rover capabilities together with outstanding versatility and more accessible prices, this is what Discovery Sport is, and this will certainly appeal to the changing lifestyles of a broader range of Chinese customers," said Hall.
