Harbor city champions private business development

Wenzhou in the Yangtze River Delta is an important harbor city in East China and one of the major cities in Zhejiang province.
The 11,784-square-meter city is composed of three districts, two county-level cities and six counties. It has a population of more than 9.19 million, of which about 1.12 million are immigrants.
Wenzhou is a creative city, a pioneering area for private business in China and created the well-known "Wenzhou Mode" for private business development. The city developed businesses in clothing, motorcycle accessories, electronic devices, pump valves and wind power equipment. In 2013, the city's GDP reached 40.04 billion yuan ($6.54 billion).
