Five memorable Scotland vs England games
Ahead of Tuesday's 112th meeting between Scotland and England at Celtic Park in Glasgow, AFP Sports looks back at five memorable encounters between the old rivals:
England 1-5 Scotland, British Home International Championship, March 1928
-A rain-soaked Wembley Stadium was the setting for one of the all-time great Scottish victories in the fixture. Scotland's Alex Jackson headed home the opener after just three minutes and Alex James scored the second just before halftime. Scotland raised its game in the second half and some excellent teamwork resulted in a third goal from another Jackson header. A fourth followed soon after, as James also grabbed a double, before Jackson completed his hattrick. Bob Kelly scored a consolation for England from a free kick but the visiting side's performance saw it dubbed the 'Wembley Wizards' by the media.
