A high note for helicopter makers

Orders rose as the aircraft are increasingly used in a growing variety of roles in China

With the government expected to ease controls on China's low-altitude airspace, orders for helicopters were on the up at the 10th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, which was held in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, from Nov 11 to 16.

Bell Helicopter, the Textron Inc company based in the United States, has about 90 products flying in China at present. It announced the sale of six Bell 407GX aircraft to four Chinese clients at the airshow on Wednesday.
