Travel: In the easternmost part of Zhejiang province there is an archipelago district formed of 455 islands. Putuo district, part of Zhoushan, boasts breathtaking scenery that attracts millions of tourists every year.

Culture: The art exhibition Colorful Asia, Cultural China opened at the Times Art Museum in Beijing on Monday and will run through Nov 17. The show displays more than 180 pieces of art created by artists from China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Japan, India, the Republic of Korea and Nepal.
