Following a string of investment deals made recently in the newly established Qingdao West Coast New Area, the Qingdao West Coast Aviation Trip Eco-Park was launched in the area on Wednesday (Nov 5).

The project, with an overall investment of 5 billion yuan ($811.66 million), comprises a non-permanent parking zone for general aviation hydro planes, fixed-wing and rotor-wing planes, a pilot training center, a tourism center, general aviation research and development, a sales exhibition center, an aviation education base, as well as a museum and a conference center.

At the launch ceremony Shandong Hairuo General Aviation Company signed a contract with Cessna to be the leading US general aviation aircraft manufacturer's general sales agency in Shandong province.
