The combination of stand up collar and duijin (Chinese-style jacket with but tons down the front) has been used for clothes since the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The clothes of leaders, both male and female, adopted this traditional design. The male leaders' clothes are innovative: What looks like two garments is, in fact, one.
