In November 1997, Bayer HealthCare started construction on its pharmaceuticals manufacturing facility in Beijing ETown to better serve the needs of the Chinese people. This year, Bayer HealthCare is investing an additional 100 million euros ($127.3 million) to increase the production capacity of this facility significantly. This will help to ensure a reliable supply of innovative and high-quality products for the expanding and important China market.
