City's leaner procedures win praise among public

Qingdao is streamlining its administration process to make life easier for individuals and companies.

"As Qingdao is dedicated to establishing a high-performing government that creates a livable environment and good quality of life for residents, reforms in our functions is a key priority," said Bian Jianping, director at the General Office of Qingdao Municipal government.

Bian said over the years the city has launched multiple projects to provide greater convenience for companies and citizens.
