Crucial upgrade for infrastructure

Antigua and Barbuda has understood the need to improve two key pillars of its economic base: the Port of St. Johns and VC Bird International Airport. Now, with Chinese help, these two vital projects are underway.

Antigua's VC Bird International Airport has long been considered the gateway to the Caribbean region and the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority - or ABAA - has now embarked on a multi-million-dollar airport expansion project.

All external expansions have already been completed, with the exception of the new passenger terminal. When completed in early 2015, this new building will be the most modern airport terminal in the region.
