Boosting cooperation with China

Prime Minister Browne reaffirmed strong relationship during his visit in August

The year 1983 hailed the start of a very positive relationship when the twin-island nation Antigua and Barbuda became the first country in the Eastern Caribbean to establish diplomatic ties with China.

Since then, the Caribbean country situated in the Leeward Islands has strongly supported China in many major affairs, while China has played a significant role in the islands' national development.
