The fourth plenary session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, held in Beijing last week, adopted decisions on "major issues concerning comprehensively advancing the rule of law." Here is a look at some of the decisions:

Civil servants elected or nominated by the National People's Congress and the NPC Standing Committee must take an oath to the Constitution when they take their posts. Dec 4 will be set as "National Constitution Day".

They must also resolutely oppose all kinds of "hidden rules". Authorities should have zero tolerance toward judicial corruption.
