Nearly 10 percent of people taking the national licensed pharmacist exam in Shaanxi province recently were caught cheating, an official at the testing center said.

"We found a total of 2,440 examinees who used hidden wireless earphones to receive test answers during the exam held on Oct 18 and 19, and with the support from police we also cracked two criminal gangs that provided cheating equipment and test answers to the examinees," said Du Fangshuai, director of the exam department of the Shaanxi Personnel Testing Center.

More than 25,000 examinees took part in the two-day exam in seven testing places in Xi'an, the provincial capital.
