Officers seize 13 wild animals at border

Jiangcheng, in Southwest China's Yunnan province, has intensified efforts to crack down illegal trading of wild animals in a market near the border with Laos and Vietnam.

Law enforcement officers found 13 live wild animals on sale at the market - two slow lorises, eight impressed tortoises, and three macaques - in eight of the 53 stalls investigated.

The investigation also found 74.4 kilograms of wildlife meat.
