Thousands crowd Fragrant Hills park

Thousands of visitors flocked over the weekend to Fragrant Hills, a popular scenic spot famous for tree leaves that turn red in autumn, Beijing News reported on Monday. Beijing Public Transportation Group had to send workers to disperse the crowd at 7 pm Sunday because thousands of visitors were still there, the report said. A visitor surnamed Dou told the newspaper that he needed four hours to return home to Shijingshan district, a trip that normally takes only half an hour.
