Founded in 1985, Tibet University is the largest of its kind in the Tibet autonomous region. The institution is building on its strengths in the region's history, culture and other fields to lead the way in Tibetan studies amid ongoing development, as Luo Wangshu, Daqiong and Palden Nyima report.
