AP program gains popularity in China

Courses prepare students for the learning environment overseas

Advanced Placement, a program in the United States and Canada that offers college-level curricula and exams to high school students, is becoming increasingly popular in China.

Created in 1955 by the College Board, an education organization in the US that develops curricula and tests to promote secondary school students' college-readiness, AP was formally introduced to China in April 2010.
