International schools a growing presence in Shanghai

By Wang Hongyi in Shanghai | China Daily | Updated: 2014-10-27 07:57

More top international schools have branched out to Shanghai in recent years, a move educators believe will help drive the city's education reform.

Britain's prestigious Harrow School recently announced plans to open a Shanghai campus, which will be inaugurated in September 2015.

The new campus will be located on a 25,000-square-meter site in the city's Pudong area, with its buildings adopting the Chinese courtyard style.
