Man with knife assaults two at subway station

Two people were wounded by a man with a knife at a subway station in Guangzhou on Saturday evening, local police said on Sunday. The attacker approached a man and a woman just before 8 pm at the Wanshengwei subway station and then escaped after wounding them, according to witnesses. The man and woman, who are cousins, have been hospitalized, police said. The woman claimed that the attacker was her ex-boyfriend. Police are investigating.
