Fair promotes cross-Straits similarities

Chinese culture is a common wealth of people on both sides of the Straits, said Xiamen Mayor Liu Keqing.

Li made the remark at the opening ceremony of the seventh Cross-Straits (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair, also known as CCCIF, which opened in Xiamen, the second-largest city in Fujian province, on Friday.

The theme for this year's fair is "connecting with the past and creating ideas for the future." Since the first fair in 2008, it has helped promote cross-Straits cultural exchanges and foster business investment.
