Sustainability initiatives

In 2013, Coca-Cola China launched an initiative together with the China Women's Development Foundation and helped more than 16,200 women improve their marketing, operation and financial skills through in-classroom or online training. Many of them now play an active role within the Coca-Cola distribution network, supporting their families through knowledge learned from their own work.

In Guangxi, the company supports comprehensive sustainable agriculture initiatives, such as pipelining nutrient-rich reclaimed water from sugar suppliers to sugarcane fields and building drip irrigation systems to increase water efficiency. Local government agencies have promoted the bio-economic model to a much larger scale.
. Partnering with the One Foundation and local civil departments, the company has established a "Clean Water 24" program for immediate disaster relief, leveraging its nationwide distribution network. In 2013 alone, it responded to 10 natural disasters and provided more than 3.57 million bottles of water to people in affected areas.
