Rival leaflets may be banned

Police authorities in the Republic of Korea said on Friday that they would intervene to prevent political activists from floating anti-DPRK leaflets across the border by balloon if any violence breaks out between the activists and their opponents. An ROK official was quoted as saying that police forces would be deployed to prevent accidents in case of a clash, even though there is no law allowing the police to block private groups from flying the leaflets into the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
