Former world No 1 Gustavo Kuerten believes the Rio 2016 Olympics will spawn a new age for Brazilian tennis, describing the event's venue as potentially "game-changing."
The three-time French Open winner predicts the Olympic Tennis Center will leave a lasting legacy in the soccer-dominated country.
"It can be game-changing," Kuerten told rio2016.com. "That's both in terms of the impact it will have on enthusiasm for tennis and in physical terms because the Olympic Tennis Center will serve as a flagship training center and a home for competitions that up to now have not been staged in Brazil."
