Thief locks himself in house unwittingly

A thief in Shaoguan locked himself inside a house he planned to rob and was caught by police, Guangzhou Daily reported on Tuesday. The thief broke into a residence on Sunday afternoon and was trapped when the door locked automatically. The house owner came back and called police when he saw the man in his house and refused the thief's offer of several thousand yuan to let him go.
