Jaguar targets 10% share of SUV market
Tata Motors Ltd's Jaguar Land Rover aims to capture 10 percent of China's premium sports utility vehicle market as its first local plant allows the luxury marque to cut prices and boost sales in the world's largest auto market. JLR opened on Tuesday the 30,000-unit-a-year factory in Changshu, a city of Jiangsu province that is about 110 kilometers northwest of Shanghai. The brand's best-selling Range Rover Evoque will be its first local production model, according to Chief Executive Officer Ralf Speth.
