Austrian Vice-Premier and Minister for Economy Reinhold Mitterlehner said the European nation plans to attract more Chinese investors and strengthen its exports to China, Xinhua News Agency reported.

China is Austria's second-largest trading partner outside the European Union, after the United States. Bilateral trade between the two nations reached nearly $10 billion in 2013.

Mitterlehner said automobile, environmental technologies, renewable energy and aerospace are some of Austria's competitive industries and are expected to be key cooperation fields between China and the European nation. Architectural design, sports and leisure and multimedia are also sectors with huge potential.
