$180m retrieved over consumer complaints

Authorities retrieved 1.1 billion yuan ($180 million) for disgruntled consumers in the first nine months of this year as the country places greater emphasis on protecting customer rights, official figures showed on Tuesday. In the first three quarters, China's industry and commerce institutions processed 842,000 individual complaints filed by consumers, said the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.
