Automobile recalls cost 20 billion yuan
China has implemented a total of 786 automobile recalls over the last decade, reported People's Daily citing the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
The recall of 16.76 million vehicles resulted in total losses of more than 20 billion yuan, ASQIQ statistics showed. In 2014, the office received 6,692 automobile-related complaints that forced 70 different manufacturers to issue a total of 119 recalls for 2.02 million vehicles.
