Last Flying Tiger dies

Long Qiming, 91, the last former Flying Tigers pilot alive on the Chinese mainland, died of pulmonary infection, severe respiratory failure and multiple organ failure at a local hospital on Wednesday, the 65th National Day. His last wishes were to attend the 70 anniversary of China's victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression next year in Beijing and visit his hometown in Shunde, Guangdong province, his daughter said.
