Monthlong law training gives valuable experience to Africans

Legal professionals usually gain from practice, but Elizabeth Karanja, an attorney from Kenya, has gained practical experience through university training.

Karanja together with more than 30 African legal professionals participated in Chinese legal training at the Beijing Foreign Studies University in September.

"Chinese clients don't like to argue with the other side. Instead, they are going to adopt a more roundabout negotiating manner," Karanja said.
