261 batches of substandard food

Authorities discovered 261 batches of substandard food imports in August, the country's top quality supervisor said on Monday. Excessive food additives, microbial contamination and poor quality were reasons the imported food was substandard, Li Jing, press officer of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, said at a news conference.
