Buzzword: The "cute response" is the theory that people are hard-wired to prefer babies in photos and real life. Cuteness isn't something that only adults can identify - children as young as 3 years old can also recognize adorable features. Even before they reach school age, children rate puppies, kittens and babies as "cuter" than their adult counterparts, according to a recent study. And apparently, in young children, dogs' faces are thought of more fondly than people's or cats'. The study found that cuteness is wrapped up in what psychologists call the "cute response", triggered by infantile features such as a round face, high forehead, big eyes and a small nose and mouth.
Metro Beijing: The annual meeting of the Zhongguancun Forum will be at Beijing International Hotel on Thursday. The theme of this year's meeting will be "The Innovative Ecological System for Entrepreneurship: CooperationShareMutual Development". The meeting will focus on topics such as how to bring government, enterprises, research institutions, and organizations together to put forward the development of an ecological system for entrepreneurship. Luis Sanz, president of the International Association of Science Parks; Del Christensen, chief global business officer of the Bay Area Council; Karin Finkelston, vice-president of the World Bank International Finance Corp and other scholars and officials will give speeches during the forum.
