Weihai in shape for championships

Scenic city in Shandong known for endurance events, Wang Qian reports.

The 2014 Long Distance Triathlon World Championships will kick off on Sept 20 in Weihai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province.

The event, sponsored by Huafa Industrial Share, is the biggest on the International Triathlon Union's long distance triathlon calendar, which has run for 20 years. It is the first time for it to be held in an Asian country.
