Bali bombings suspect seized
An Indonesian senior police officer said in Jakarta on Wednesday that members of their anti-terror squad, Special Detachment 88, arrested a terrorist suspect linked to notorious terror accomplices who masterminded bomb blasts in Bali that killed more than 200 lives. The arrest of Chandra, alias Arif Suharto, was conducted in Purworejo on Tuesday morning, according to Agus Riyanto, head of public information division at National Police headquarters.

Passengers keep official off plane
Fed up with constant delays and flight cancellations, disgruntled Pakistani passengers prevented a senior politician from boarding an airplane after he turned up at least two hours late for the flight. A video posted online on Tuesday shows a group of passengers shouting "Shame on you!" as they blocked Rehman Malik, an influential former interior minister, from entering the plane, and then chased him back to the terminal building.
South Africa
70 die after church collapses
As many as 300 South Africans were visiting a Pentecostal church in Nigeria last week when a building in the compound collapsed. A total of 70 bodies have been pulled from the rubble of the building, the Nigerian National Emergency Management Agency said at the site of the disaster on Wednesday.

Clashes near capital kill 20
At least 20 people were killed when Shiite Muslim rebels clashed with army soldiers and allied tribesmen in an outer suburb of the Yemeni capital of Sanaa, medical sources said on Wednesday. The conflict is further destabilizing a country struggling with a range of threats, including a separate secessionist movement and an al-Qaida insurgency.
