By Li Wenfang in Guangzhou and Cao Yin in Beijing | China Daily | Updated: 2014-09-13 07:41

A husband in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, who was charged with domestic violence was forcibly evicted from his house by a regional court.

The court in Zhuhai's Xiangzhou district issued the compulsory move-out order on Thursday to protect the rights of the victim, Wu Ping, and guarantee her safety at home.

It was the first case in which a Chinese court forced a perpetrator of domestic violence to leave the home.
