Nothing pleases Chen Yulu, president of Renmin University of China, more than witnessing the spirited academic debate that takes place at the World Conference on Sinology.

The university hosted the conference for the fourth time on Saturday and Sunday

"One of the major tasks for universities is to build platforms for academic exchange and interdisciplinary dialogues against the backdrop of globalization," Chen told China Daily.
