Recent charity drives that have made a splash in China:
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge became a social media philanthropic phenomenon this summer in countries such as China, the United States, and the Republic of Korea. Participants pour a bucket of ice water on themselves or donate $100 to a charity raising money for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or both.
