Traffic measures by police help save baby

Doctors credited police with helping save a baby suffering from a brain hemorrhage by allowing the baby's parents to drive in the bus lane and overriding the traffic lights to give them a clear path to Beijing's Children Hospital, Beijing Evening News reported on Wednesday. The parents were driving their baby to Beijing from Tangshan, Hebei province, on Tuesday night when they encountered heavy traffic. They then called the police, whose maneuvers allowed the family to arrive at the hospital in 10 minutes.
